Inaugural NFHCA Top Recruit Spring Fling Draws 90 Teams

In NFHCA Top Recruit, Spring Fling

Elkridge, MD (April 22, 2015)– The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) and Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced today 90 teams from 12 states competed in the first-ever NFHCA Top Recruit Spring Fling this past weekend at Cedar Lane Regional Park in Bel Air, MD.

Jenn Goodrich, NFHCA Executive Director, said:  “The NFHCA Executive Board is excited about the future of the NFHCA Top Recruit Tournament Series events.  The inaugural NFHCA Top Recruit Spring Fling event provided student-athletes representing ninety teams from around the country with the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of approximately 150 college coaches.  Overall, 2015 Spring Fling was a step in the right direction and we believe the NFHCA is well on its way toward establishing NFHCA Top Recruit events as the premier recruiting events in the country.  We look forward to hosting the NFHCA Top Recruit Winter Escape January 8-10, 2016 in Naples, Florida in conjunction with the 2016 NFHCA Annual Convention.”

Lee Corrigan, President of CSE, said: “Players, parents, college and club coaches were all left with a tremendous impression about what partnering with a professional event management company means to the sport and high level tournaments. With this magnificent start serving as a building block, we expect the Top Recruit Series will grow exponentially in the near future.”

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a non-profit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey.
